The world’s first Buddha-bar was opened in 1996 in Paris. The concept and the idea belong to Raymond Visan. Now the glamorous residence of the Buddha has twins in the world’s largest cities: Dubai, Beirut, and Cairo. In 2008 Buddha-bar appeared in Kiev. Each restaurant of the Buddha-bar network follows general traditions. One of them is «Family concept»: every guest at the table is offered to place the ordered dish in the middle of the table and share with their company. The guests of the «Buddha-bar» restaurant do not stay at the dinner table for a long time after the meal; they go to the lounge area – Mezzanine – to enjoy the magic atmosphere listening to the original DJ’s tracks.
The Kiev Buddha-bar lounge-restaurant fully meets all the requirements of the global network, but it is much larger in area than the rest of the network facilities (1400 square meters), the number of seats is more than 350 people. The significant feature of the Kiev Buddha-bar is its three levels — restaurant, bar and lounge area Mezzanine, and also a the VIP-hall which offers a unique view of the Buddha statue.
