But we need to support our team if not because of the notorious football motivation, at least because of patriotic reasons. Ukraine hosts the final of Euro 2012. During four years we lived in hope and fear, but in a month the line between «before» and «after», after all, will be scribed.

In June, 8 in Warsaw, and in a few hours in Wrocaw, we’ll hear a whistle that marks the beginning of the battle between the Poles and the Greeks, as well as between the Czechs and the Russians. In Ukraine, in the newly built and flickering Kiev «Olympic» stadium, in July, 1 will be the final battle for the title of best European team.

Experts note that, judging by the number of tickets sold, at Championship about one million people (and maybe more) will come in our country. Not bad addition to the population…

Do we rejoice in this great event, with a satisfaction playing with a beer belly in a fit of laughter, or grumble, as the indigenous people of Kiev, packed in an emergency link to the country, but it is a unique event, and indeed long-expected. Restaurants, cafes and bars are ready to open the door to many guests, treated them with bread and salt (although, more likely, beer and meat), as maximum compensating the lack of the coveted ticket for a live football show by the vast expanses of modern widescreen plasmas.
