Research is a source of useful information about the main tendencies in the Ukrainian touristic branch on the whole, and also how holders of the Visa cards spend means during travelling to the various countries.
These researches «Ukraine: view on development of touristic branch» testify to accessionof the touristic market of Ukraine against increase of its competitiveness level in the touristic sphere. In 2012 Ukraine wasresorted by 23 million foreign visitors that is confirmation of high touristic potential of this country.
According to VisaVue Travel data, the first top ten leaders in the amount of visitors of Ukraine in 2012 were Russia, the USA, Great Britain, Latvia, Cyprus, Germany, France, Kazakhstan, Poland and the Czech Republic. The share of expenses of representatives of these countries made nearly 80% from the total quantity of the expense which have been conducted by foreign visitants.
The Russian tourists are indisputable leaders on expenses: in 2012 they spent on the Visa cards almost ten times more, than visitors from the USA, taking the second range in the list of the leading countries in the sizeof expenditure — expenses of representatives of these countries made $834,8 million and $89,3 million relatively.
The Ukrainian tourists also widely used Visa way of payment for products and services during foreign trips in 2012. Due to the outcomes of the year, expenses of the Ukrainian holders of the Visa cards were 17,3% more, than last year, and made $995,7 million. The USA became the most popular direction amongst the Ukrainian tourists.Ukrainians spent in the USAon the Visa cards about $106,7 million that is 22,3% more if compare with the previous year.
