64 tourist information offices for guests are soon being opened in the Ukrainian capital. All necessary information the travelers will be able to get at Kiev central streets, bus and railway stations and airports. The programme will be realized in the process of preparation to the Euro-2012.
The mass media reports that three people will work in each information centre and one person in each information office. At present all necessary information for tourists are being translated in other languages. Later special booklets will be issued and information website will be created in different languages.
It is interesting to mention that according to statistics the number of tourists visiting Kiev every year has increased from 107 000 to 279 000 people (information for 2010). For justice’ sake it is should be noted that it is extremely small quantity.
Perhaps, it is the small flow of tourists in the Ukrainian capital that has influence the absence of reasons for developing the tourist sector. However, due to the Euro-2012 hundred thousands of people from different parts of the world will visit the capital. Owing to this fact the government has made Kiev more attractive for visitors.
