Michelin star is awarded to street restaurant
Chang Hon Man is chef and owner of the vending kiosk Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle. He makes food for the past 35 years. The dish, for which he has received the highest culinary award, is quite simple — it’s noodles with soy sauce and chicken. He started his way as a cook when he was 16, that was also when he dropped out from school and started as an apprentice with one of Hong Kong chefs. According to Chang Hon Man, his life varied only slightly after the award, just tail to his tent with noodles became twice longer.
