New meeting with the lead characters of «The Friends».
After 12 years, the audience expects a new meeting with the lead characters of «The Friends» series. Reunion of heroes will happen on the occasion of the shooting, coincided to James Burroughs anniversary celebrations – who is one of the directors of the series, and who has been involved in the production of 15 episodes. Recently, the Maestro celebrated the airing of the 1000-th film screening, shot under his guidance. NBC’s press service confirmed the participation of all six feature operators in the upcoming filming — Matt LeBlanc, who plays Joe, Jennifer Aniston, well-loved by the audience for her role as Rachel, David Schwimmer i.e. Ross and other cast.
Robert Greenblatt, channel’s representative, says that the answer to the question, intriguing millions of fans of the show — whether the audience will see on camera all the sitcom’s characters together during the air — is still unknown even for NBC’s staff. Due to differences in the actors chart, according to Greenblatt, it will be quite difficult to bring them together at the same time.
«The Friends» special edition will be shot in Los-Angeles in January and a new episode will come out on February 21-st.
In September 2014 the Series celebrated twentieth anniversary. It was broadcasted on TV the world over, including Russian channels, and has won millions of fans. Since its premiere screening till 2004, there were filmed 236 sitcom’s episodes. Over the years of screening, the series became the nominee and winner of many prestigious film awards — «Screen Actors Guild Award», “Golden Globe», «Emmy Awards» and the others.
