“Mystetskyi Arsenal” in Kiev is National Cultural-Art and Museum Complex
“Mystetskyi Arsenal” is one of the projects of Ukrainian culture that has to become one of the largest museums of the world.
Mystetskyi Arsenal’s mission is to combine many Ukrainian cultural achievements and initiatives into one conceptual national project to present the historical and artistic heritage of Ukraine as a part of the world cultural heritage.
From the date of the Independence of Ukraine starting from 2003, Arsenal got the status of the cultural and artistic institution and the name «Mystetskyi Arsenal.»
Soon, a museum of new generation with modern technical infrastructure, meeting the requirements of a dynamic exhibition center and at the same time offering vast opportunities for education, will invite visitors to spacious exhibition halls, art laboratories, digital libraries, bookstores, conference rooms, data centers, classrooms.
By 2012 the complex was under reconstruction. However, even today Mystetskyi Arsenal acts in an active creative format, and the premises of Old Arsenal are adapted in the best way possible for comfort of exhibitors and convenience of visitors, it provides the realization of versatile cultural projects. The architectural and spatial concept of the complex allows arranging large-scale art projects, exhibitions, presentations, charity balls, and so on. The total area of the Mystetskyi Arsenal building is 50,000 sq m.
