Cars of golf (compact) class are rather capacious and thus rather compact estate cars which belong also to middle class. It is one of the most popular segments in Europe (about a third of the general sales). Some decades Volkswagen Golf was the legislator of fashion, from there the second name of a class – the golf class appeared.

As for spaciousness of this car category, five adults «enter» them freely + baggage, thus on back seat there is rather cramped. Length of the unit can reach 4,3 meters, the maximum width is 1,7.

Body type is mainly the estate car, a sedan, a hatchback. More rare it can be cabriolets (they, however, independently on the sizes, can be met and in other classifications) or a compartment. The car is ideally fit for travel, high-speed opportunities and dynamic qualities can vary in rather wide limits.
