The famous edition of Lonely Planet produced new selection of guidebooks for independent travelers, they made a rating of the most interesting places in Europe in 2015.
1. Akureyri
The ancient Icelandic town is very cozy and unusual. It is known for its history. Akureyri was founded in the beginning of the IX century, also this town has amazing fertile soil. You should visit the local Botanical Garden and appreciate it.
Despite the tiny size of the city, the cultural life is very rough: There is a street of art in Akureyri. All museums, theaters and galleries are here. And the waterfall of the gods (Godafoss) is located just 40 kilometers from this town. This waterfall is one of the most beautiful in Iceland.
2. Leipzig
